16 cute beach date ideas

1. Dinner on the beach

The ultimate romantic beach date idea.  Set up a table (no sandwiches here ) with chairs and even cutlery. Cook the food before and pre-pack it in Tupperware. Dine on anything from a whole chicken to lobster. The world is your oyster, literally!

2. Have a lunchtime picnic

This one is a little more DIY. Grab some blankets and cushions for a comfy experience. Feed each other strawberries or grapes while you talk about the meaning of life or just take in the summer's day around you.

3. Go for a bike ride on the beach

Ding ding!  Here comes the cutest couple on the beach. If you’re both a bit more adventurous, but still want some romance, don your best bike gear and hire some bikes. Pack a picnic, or plan to finish at a scenic spot and take in the amazing views.

4. Have a BBQ on the beach

Fire up the grill and cook some of your favorite foods as you watch the waves crashing onto the shore.

5. Watch a sunrise or sunset

What is more romantic than watching a day start or end? As the colors of the sun melt into the sea have that in-depth chat you’ve been meaning to have or share a secret about yourself.

6. Take a boat trip

Hire a boat for the day and sail to beaches that you’ve never been to before.  If it’s warm enough jump in the sea and enjoy a splash together.

7. Go tidepool fishing

Grab a net and see what you can catch together. Don’t let it get too competitive, have fun and make it a giggle.

8. Nature’s scavenger hunt

Make a list of 10 fun things to find, such as a pretty shell or a message in a bottle. You may be luckier than you think!

9. Grab an ice cream cone

This one will have you both giggling like children. Grab a cone with all the toppings — yes, we’re talking sprinkles and chocolate — then try and enjoy it without a care in the world!

10. Have an outdoor movie night

Set up a sheet as a makeshift projector or if your budget doesn’t quite extend to that use a phone or tablet to get lost in one of your faves as you snuggle up together.

11. Go wakeboarding

Unless you’re an expert you're probably going fall face-first into the water — but so what? If you do it together it’s a great bonding experience.

12. Take a walk barefoot

Who needs shoes on the beach anyway? Feel the sand between your toes, paddle in the water, and play a game of tag if you’re feeling sporty.

13. Play bat & ball

Get into your beachwear and catch some rays (with SPF on of course) while you splash about and hit the ball back and forth to each other.

14. Try horseback riding

One of the most exhilarating experiences is horseback riding down the beach, so why not share the experience with your partner? Either ride together or next to each other.

15. Have a volleyball match

Depending on how competitive you both are have a friendly or intense game.  The loser has to buy dinner.

16. Go paddleboarding

Hire some paddle boards and paddle out to tiny coves together. It may be an intense workout, but sharing new experiences with your partner can help build an unbreakable bond.
